To provide: a method for establishing agreement between a plurality of nodes on a block chain configured using a distributed network of the plurality of nodes; and a block chain system.SOLUTION: A method for establishing agreement between a plurality of nodes to be executed by a processor on a block chain system configured using a distributed network of the plurality of nodes includes: receiving a candidate block in an Nth round by any one first node of a plurality of nodes capable of being promoted to a producer node having a block generation status at a predetermined time point for each round; determining whether or not the received candidate block is an effective candidate block; determining whether or not the effective candidate block is an unauthorized block; and determining whether or not the unauthorized block is a first reception candidate block before determining the propriety of voting authorization for the unauthorized block.
