PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system for facilitating mutual communication between a person concerned such as a care person or a family member of a target person and the target person. A monitoring system includes a camera 13 as a photographing unit, a body motion sensor 14 as a body motion detecting unit for detecting the body movement of a subject, a photographed image including the subject photographed by the photographing unit, and a photographed image. The control unit 11 that detects a predetermined event of the subject based on at least one of the body movements detected by the body movement detection unit is integrated with the photographing unit, the body movement detecting unit, and the control unit, and the captured image. A sensor unit having a router 17 that transmits data of at least one of, body movement, and a predetermined event to a destination device via a network, and a message board associated with the sensor unit for each sensor unit. It has a providing department, a reception department that accepts posts on the message board, and an editorial department that posts the posts received by the reception department on the message board.
