To provide a method for estimating secular change of pressure loss in a reactor with good accuracy, in a fixed floor distribution type reaction for distributing a gas or liquid one phase fluid, or gas or liquid two phases fluid to the reactor.SOLUTION: A method includes a step for obtaining impurities total amount Sin a fluid flowing in a reactor and impurities total amount Sin a product material flowed out from the reactor between any reaction passage time tand reaction passage time(t-t) and a step for deriving porosity εof a solid catalyst layer in the reaction at the reaction passage time tfrom porosity εof the solid catalyst layer in the reactor at the reaction passage time tby a formula (1), in which viscosity μ of the fluid, linear speed u of the fluid, density ρ of the fluid, and εat the reaction passage time tare assigned into a formula calculating pressure loss, ΔP, which is a calculated value of the pressure loss is derived, ΔPis assigned in a formula (2), and an estimated value ΔPof the pressure loss in the reactor at the reaction passage time tis calculated.SELECTED DRAWING: None
