PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of removing anions in acidic industrial wastewater containing a high concentration of anions. SOLUTION: Mayenite or similar calcium aluminumate is added to acidic industrial wastewater containing a high concentration of anions. The pH of wastewater rises when mayenite or similar calcium aluminate is hydrolyzed by acidic wastewater. As a result, Ca / Al layered double hydroxide is generated from the solution, and anions are taken in between the layers to provide a method for removing anions in the wastewater. Further, the present invention provides a method capable of regenerating mayenite or similar calcium aluminumate by heating the residue and reusing it as an anion removing agent.
