METHOD FOR DETERMINING AN OPTIMAL PROPULSION PARAMETER AND/OR A POWER SAVING OF A WIND PROPULSION SYSTEM, METHOD FOR PROVIDING THE DETERMINED POWER SAVING, AUTOMATIC CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A WIND PROPULSION SYSTEM, WIND PROPULSION SYSTEM, AND SHIP
The invention relates to a method for determining an optimal propulsion parameter and/or a power saving of a wind propulsion system of a ship by means of a data-processing device having a real-time-capable interface to at least one associated measuring apparatus of the ship for capturing at least one wind parameter and/or at least one ship parameter by determining the true wind conditions, and an optimal propulsion parameter for a maximum power saving and for determining the optimal propulsion parameter and/or the maximum power saving for determined true wind angles in an angular range from 0 to 360 degrees, such that an optimal course of the ship can be set in real time on the basis of the optimal propulsion parameter and/or the maximum power saving. The invention further relates to a method for providing the previously determined power parameter of a wind propulsion system for a course change, to an automatic control system, to a wind propulsion system, and to a ship.
