The invention relates to a method (S1-S7) for evaluating the reliability of a CT volume image, a corresponding computer program (S1-S7) and a storage medium (1) on which the computer program (S1-S7) is stored. In the method (S1-S7), a first CT volume image and a modified CT volume image are acquired, which are reconstructed from measured projection images. Digitally reconstructed x-ray images are then calculated from the CT volume images, for which a respective similarity to a corresponding one of the measured projection images is then determined. A comparison of these similarities with one another is then used to assess the reliability of the CT volume images.
