To provide a system for improving electrical uniformity and thermal uniformity of an accumulator battery in a battery pack.SOLUTION: In a system for monitoring gas in a battery pack including a battery pack P having multiple metal ion electrochemical accumulator batteries, and heat conduction liquid circuits C1, C2 for cooling or heating the accumulator batteries, having an expansion volume-reducing tank 90 for collecting and detecting gas released from each accumulator battery and circulating in heat conduction liquid, each metal ion electrochemical accumulator battery includes a fracture membrane passing gas but not passing heat conduction liquid, and the fracture membrane is placed in the accumulator battery so as to allow for passage of the gas released from the accumulator battery to the outside of the accumulator battery, and fixed in place.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 47
