The invention relates to a method for coordinating charging processes of a plurality of motor vehicles (16) by means of a coordination device (12), wherein the coordination device (12) of a respective one of the motor vehicles (16) at least a first information (11) concerning a position of the respective motor vehicle (16 ) and a second information (12) concerning an energy store (18) of the respective motor vehicle (16), the coordinating device (12) receives at least third information (13) concerning a power supply which can be provided by at least one energy supply network (24), the coordination device ( 12) for a respective motor vehicle (16) in response to the first and second information (11, 12), and in dependence on the third information (13) a recommended loading area (P) and a recommended time interval (T) for loading the determined respective motor vehicle (16), and the coordination device (12) an indication (26) about the recommended loading area (P) determined for a respective motor vehicle (16) and about the recommended time interval (T) to the respective motor vehicle (16).
