FIELD: security systems.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of removal of residual heat from structures of nuclear power plants in case of severe accidents (SA) subjected to high-intensity heat action from molten materials of active zone. Invention can be used in systems of emergency removal of residual heat from housings of nuclear reactor and melt localization device in beyond-design SA. Proposed method and device for cooling of housing of nuclear reactor are based on use of dispersed gas-liquid cooling medium for intensification of process of external cooling of housing of nuclear reactor at high (over 2 MW/m2) values of heat load acting on housing of nuclear reactor.;EFFECT: possibility of preserving the integrity of the structure of the reactor housing and preventing the release of radioactive materials beyond the reactor housing in beyond-design SA.;3 cl, 1 dwg
