Method includes the cultivation of winter triticale, the choice of the predecessor, sowing rates depending on the purpose of cultivation and the introduction of mineral fertilizers. As a precursor, pure steam is used, soil is prepared, and mineral fertilizers are applied in doses of 30 kg/ha N30P30K30. Soil preparation includes peeling of stubble after harvesting to a depth of 7–8 cm, plowing in September to a depth of 20–22 cm, early spring harrowing in March-April, cultivation with harrowing in August and immediately before sowing for several days to a depth of 5–6 cm. When sowing, double superphosphate and potassium salt are introduced into the soil in doses of 30 kg/ha, and in the spring they feed on vegetating plants with ammonium nitrate in a dose of 30 kg/ha. Optimum period of sowing in the Republic of Kalmykia is the first decade until the middle of September. At the beginning of optimal terms, triticale is sown for fodder purposes, at the end of the time – for grain purposes, optimal seeding rates are 2.5–3.0 million germinated seeds per hectare.
