FIELD: construction.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering of earth structures, namely to water intake structures, for increase of water intake in hard natural conditions. Surface water intake is made in the form of recessed gallery partially covered with intake grids (2). Construction on spans is separated by reinforced concrete hollow abutments with grids in upper part of walls (1) or metal frame with metal shields (19) on pressure side. Water intake for under-stream waters is made in the form of pipes (10) for intake of under-stream flow, which are located below ground level. Inlet part is protected by return filter (11). At the outlet (in the gallery) the pipes are shut off with a gate, which is made in the form of gate valve (16). Valve is controlled by shutoff valve from sight well (18) located in close proximity, or check valve (20). Valve operates in automatic mode. In order to raise the level of ground waters and to direct them to pipeline, sheet piling wall (12) is provided from temporary seal.EFFECT: water intake structure is capable to increase water consumption due to intake of both surface water and ground water, has low prime cost, is simple in repair, is stable, long time perceives flow impact, without losing its efficiency; increases power generation at small hydroelectric power station.1 cl, 4 dwg
