The present invention relates to the field of diagnostic testing for prenatal diagnosis of toxemia. In particular, this relates to a method for diagnosing whether a pregnant subject is at risk for a pregnancy addiction in a short period of time, comprising the steps of: a) measuring the amount of one or more angiogenic indicators selected from the group consisting of sFlt-1, endoglin and PlGF in the sample of said subject, and b) comparing it with the reference amount, thereby diagnosing whether the subject is at risk of developing into a pregnancy addiction in a short period of time (for sFlt-1 and endoglin, if the amount is equal to or less than the reference amount, For the case of PlGF, the amount thereof is equal to or increased from the reference amount), the reference permitting diagnosis with a negative predictive value of about 98% or more. Also contemplated are an apparatus and kit for performing the method.
