The present invention relates to a primer set and an SNP marker for identification of species based on complete sequencing of chloroplast genome sequences of seven species of Panax sp., and uses thereof. The present invention enables highly reliable verification of Panax species and enables identification thereof at a lower cost and higher efficiency than conventional methods. It is also possible to maintain purity of Panax species, protect varieties, and solve conflicts related to seeds.
