The present invention relates to an AI agent, a control method, a refrigerator linked to an AI agent, and a control method for the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the AI agent includes: an information checking unit receiving purchase details of a product and determining whether there is a new product for refrigerator storage, requiring cold storage or freezing storage in the purchase detail; an information collecting unit collecting capacity information on the new product for refrigerator storage and collecting path information on the new product for refrigerator storage when there is the new product for refrigerator storage in the purchase detail; and an agent control unit determining estimated arrival time in which the new product for refrigerator storage enters the refrigerator based on the path information and transmitting the information on the estimated arrival time, the capacity information on the new product for refrigerator storage, and the path information to the refrigerator. According to the present invention, the AI agent and the refrigerator linked to the AI agent can be linked to an artificial intelligent module, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a robot, an augmented reality (AR) device, a virtual reality (VR) device, and a device related to a 5G service.
