The present invention relates to a method for evaluating abilities for selecting investment items of evaluation subjects and an evaluation system for performing the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for evaluating abilities for selecting investment items comprises: receiving selection information with respect to each of a plurality of items selected by each user; determining success and failure and profits with respect to each of the items during a target period based on the input selection information; performing result evaluation by each user based on the determination results; and performing tendency evaluation according to item type classification and item evaluation according to item properties by each user based on the input selection information and the determination results.
