The present invention relates to a fault-tolerant switching control method of a three-phase three-level active neutral-point clamped (ANPC) converter, capable of variably changing an uncontrollable switching combination into a controllable alternative switching combination. According to the present invention, when an open type fault of P- or N-state switching output occurs in an A phase of an ANPC topology, an A phase command voltage (Va,FT) and a B-phase command voltage (Vb,FT) of a carrier-based pulse wave modulation (PWM) control mode are converted into an A-phase fault-tolerant command voltage (Va,FT), a B-phase fault-tolerant command voltage (Vb,FT), and a C-phase fault-tolerant command voltage (Vc,FT). Accordingly, the fault-tolerant switching control method outputs the alternative switching combination operated in a fault-tolerant region.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
