An embodiment of the present invention relates to an identification method of a companion animal using muzzle pattern recognition at an identification agency performed by a server. The method comprises: a step (a) of providing a user terminal with a primary authentication code generated based on information of a companion animal; a step (b) of receiving the primary authentication code from an agency terminal corresponding to a companion animal identification agency, and performing a primary authentication for the companion animal; a step (c) of receiving a muzzle pattern image of the companion animal from the agency terminal, and performing a secondary authentication for the companion animal; and a step (d) of issuing an identification card of the companion animal including registration information of an agency based on the result of the secondary authentication. According to the present invention, the identity of a companion animal can be easily inquired by a specialized agency.
