Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for estimating parameters of an equivalent circuit model of a battery. The equivalent circuit model of a battery includes a first resistor, a second resistor connected to the first resistor in series, and a capacitor connected to the second resistor in parallel. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method comprises: a step of setting parameter estimation conditions including a specific temperature, a specific charging state, and a specific constant current; a step of reading a pulse discharge profile corresponding to the parameter estimation conditions from a plurality of previously stored pulse discharge profiles, wherein the pulse discharge profile includes a first number of terminal voltages sequentially measured for each prescribed period from a battery having the specific charging state while the battery is discharged to the specific constant current from an open voltage to a lower discharge limit voltage corresponding to the specific charging state at the specific temperature; a step of determining a threshold voltage between the open voltage and the lower discharge limit voltage from the pulse discharge profile; a step of extracting a second number of terminal voltages between the open voltage and the threshold voltage among the first number of terminal voltages; and a step of estimating a resistance value of the first resistor and a resistance value of the second resistor based on the open voltage, the constant current, and the second number of terminal voltages.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
