According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for analyzing material failure characteristics comprises the following steps of: obtaining, as a failure experiment result generated by failure experiment of repeatedly applying load to each of a plurality of samples consisting of predetermined materials, information on whether each of the samples is failed and on the number of loads which each of the samples is applied with; and selecting a function in which a value of probability is maximum, based on a result obtained by calculating the probability that the same result occurs as the failure experiment result, for each of a plurality of functions when repeatedly performing the failure experiment on the samples consisting of the predetermined materials, among the functions on the speed at which cracks generated in each of the samples by the load are advanced according to repeated application of the load, and determining the selected function as a crack advance function of the predetermined materials.
