The present invention relates to a catalyst for combustion of carbon fine particles containing a cerium and praseodymium composite oxide whose shape is controlled in a form of fibers and a method for combustion of carbon fine particles using the same. The catalyst according to the present invention uses the cerium and praseodymium composite oxide, thereby having excellent oxygen storage ability and improving oxidizing power even at a low temperature, since it is controlled in the form of fibers to increase a contact area. Therefore, it is possible to effectively combust carbon fine particles even at a low temperature.
