Active shimming system of magnetic resonance spectrometer apparatus and magnetic resonance imaging apparatus for improving uniformity of magnetic field and active shimming method using it
The present invention relates to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetic resonance spectrometer (MR). According to the present invention, in regard to active shimming performed for improving the spatial uniformity and magnetic field distribution of MR or MRI to increase the accuracy of image analysis using MR or MRI, conventional active shimming methods and devices have weaknesses that a field mapper or additional time is required for mapping due to the necessity of a field mapping procedure using a shim coil and accuracy is lowered because of a measurement or calculation error. The present invention overcomes the weaknesses, thereby enabling active shimming work to be performed through optimization and automation technologies without field mapping work. Thus, the active shimming system and the active shimming method using the same are capable of making shimming work efficient and accurate with a simpler structure and lower cost.
