The invention relates to the field of information technology, particularly to creating a domain information model for building an information space topology of a management information system, and for examining the spatial state of the information objects existing therein, their structures and relationships, and also stored data. The technical result consists in expanding the information space of data queries by means of establishing additional relationships between information objects and units thereof, and analyzing data according to the results of said queries, which also allows for more accurately predicting the state of a physical system, and, as a result, for improving the quality of management decisions and other decisions being made that are being shaped by the management information system.
