This nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus (100) is provided with: a static magnetic field formation unit (10) for forming a static magnetic field; a subject holding unit (2) for holding a subject in the static magnetic field; a pulse application unit (51a) for applying a π/2 pulse of the Larmor frequency of an atom to be measured to the subject in the static magnetic field, and then, starting at a time point at which half a predetermined time has passed after application of the π/2 pulse, applying a π pulse of the Larmor frequency to the subject at least a predetermined number of times (the predetermined number being at least 2) at intervals of the predetermined time; and a detection unit (40) for detecting the signal intensity of a spin echo signal generated from the subject as a result of the last instance of the predetermined number of times of application of the π pulse.
