The present disclosure proposes a method for selecting an active antenna group of a transmitting end in a generalized spatial modulation communication system, comprising: performing channel estimation at a receiving end in a generalized spatial modulation communication system, and sending the estimated channel state information to a transmitting end by means of a feedback channel; the transmitting end receiving the channel state information, processing the channel state information according to a square minimax Euclidean distance criteria, and determining a minimum square Euclidean distance corresponding to each active antenna group of the transmitting end; the transmitting end comparing the minimum square Euclidean distances corresponding to the active antenna groups, and selecting the active antenna group, corresponding to the minimum square Euclidean distance having the maximum value, as the active antenna group of the generalized spatial modulation communication system. Said method can improve the efficiency of signal transmission in the generalized spatial modulation communication system, achieve the best symbol error rate performance under the minimax Euclidean distance criteria, and reduce more than half of the calculation complexity compared with the existing exhaustive algorithm, improving system performance.
