A design information management system (1) comprises: a design information storage unit (11), an identical structural component specification unit (13), and a specification information assignment unit (14). The design information storage unit (11) stores design information for a plurality of products, the design information including drawings of components constituting the products. The identical structural component specification unit (13) specifies, on the basis of the drawings of the components from design information stored in the design information storage unit (11), identical components that consitute different products. The specification information assignment unit (14) assigns the same specification information to the identical components specified by the identical structural component specification unit (13), and stores the information in the design information storage unit (11).
