An intelligent design system for an automobile cover mold, comprising: A product selection module (1), a DL process diagram analysis module (2), an intelligent conversion module (3), an intelligent calculation module (5), a virtual model module (6), a mold model conversion module (7), a two-dimensional engineering diagram conversion module (8) and a mold parts list generation module (9). Further provided is an intelligent design method for the automobile cover mold, the method having already been implemented in practical work and having begun application. The described intelligent design system and method for the automobile cover mold classify various design elements of a mold according to classification topology rules, thus it is not necessary to manually make a 3D mold model, all results are generated by calculation, the system is convenient and quick, and good results are obtained in practical application.
