The invention concerns a method for etching, using a laser beam, at least two security images onto a document comprising a transparent and laser-sensitive substrate and comprising, above the substrate, an array of substantially semi-cylindrical lenses having parallel longitudinal axes, this method comprising steps consisting of laser etching, alternately, through said lenses, a first image and a second image, said first image being etched successively by moving the document in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the lenses while keeping the laser beam at a fixed angle relative to the plane of the lenses, characterised in that said second image is etched successively by moving the document in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the lenses but at angles sequentially increasing or sequentially decreasing relative to the plane of the lenses.
