An experimental device and method for studying decomposition of sulfur-containing minerals in a cyclone preheater. The experimental device comprises an atmosphere control unit, a material feeding unit, a suspended heating unit, and a flue gas separation and online monitoring unit. The experimental device is designed to simulate a cement kiln cyclone preheater. Compared with existing laboratory-use static heating devices, the experimental device improves simulation of a stage-by-stage suspension heating process of a cement kiln cyclone preheater (such as a gas-solid contact method, single-stage heating time, heat transfer efficiency), improves consistency between experimental parameters and real-life scenarios, and obtains experimental data that is more scientific, authentic and accurate. The experimental method of the present invention, by changing gas composition, flow rate, temperature and the like during suspension heating, allows study of decomposition processes of sulfur-containing minerals (such as decomposition temperature and decomposition rate) and desulfurization processes of flue gas (such as reaction temperature and reaction efficiency). The method has scientific value and practical significance in revealing the desulfurization reaction mechanism of flue gas of a cement kiln.
