The objective of the present invention is to facilitate adjustment of an observation location in a multispectral coded confocal observation device.In this confocal observation device, adjustment of an observation location is facilitated by connecting a movable mirror and a movable grating which adjust the observation location, and an optical block in which an image capturing element for observing an image of an observation target is disposed, to a housing of an optical system for enlarged observation or reduced-size observation of the observation target, using one optical connecting unit, and displaying information relating to the irradiation position of laser light on the observation target, superimposed on image information of the observation target captured by the image capturing element.
