The present invention provides a method and system of practical trouble shooting training for ship navigation devices based on VR technology. The method comprises the following steps: 1. constructing a ship navigation device VR practical training base library; 2. selecting a fault removal tree according to set faults, calling a device three-dimensional model database to generate a VR fault scene, and displaying a visualized three-dimensional model of initial state nodes of the fault removal tree; 3. obtaining user practical operation behaviors and comparing the behaviors with user behavior edge at current state nodes of the trouble removal tree, if matched, then proceeding to step 4, and if not matched, indicating that the task is failed and proceeding to step 5; 4. determining whether the current state nodes of the trouble removal tree are final stage state nodes, if yes, indicating that the practical training task is successful and finished, and otherwise, entering a next state node of the matched user behavior edge and repeating step 3; 5. for the failed practical training task in step 3, using a multimedia teaching database to send related data to students and returning to step 3.
