A test bench comprising: a clutch (26) operatively arranged with a dynamometer (10) and a flywheel (28), the test bench being characterized by: a controller (12) configured to control the clutch to decouple a Rotational inertia of the dynamometer of a rotation inertia of the flywheel in such a way that the rotation inertia of the flywheel shows a desired rotation inertia; the controller being configured to set a slip speed setpoint for the clutch to control the speed through the clutch.
