Wind turbine (1), comprising a turbine mast (2), a wind rotor (4) with rotor shaft (5) and an electricity generator (6) mounted in or on the lower part of the turbine mast, while the rotor shaft is connected to the generator via a system of crankshafts (18, 19) and tension members (20) extending through the turbine mast, preferably tension cables. The wind turbine is preferably embodied with a rotor shaft which is guided inside the turbine mast at a feed-through location fixed with respect to the turbine mast, while the turbine mast is rotatably mounted about a vertical axis of rotation (11) by means of means of a mast bearing (12-14).
