An innovative bacteriophage and antibacterial composition comprising the present invention relates to an innovative bacteriophage, more particularly a bacteriophage having specific bactericidal activity against salmonella enteritidis, salmonella typhimurium, salmonella gallinarum and salmonella pullorum, a composition for the prevention or treatment of infectious diseases, including salrnonellosis and salmonella food poisoning caused by salmonella enteri tidis or salmonella typhimurium, avian typhus caused by salmonella gallinarum, and pulella caused by salmonella pullorum, which comprises the bacteriophage as an active ingredient and an animal feed, drinking water, cleanser and disinfectant comprising the bacteriophage as an active ingredient.
