PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological state acquisition device capable of acquiring a respiratory signal by a simple method compared with a prior art.SOLUTION: The biological state acquisition device comprises: signal reception/transmission means for transmitting an electromagnetic wave to a body surface of a living body, and receiving a reflection wave reflected on the body surface of the living body as a reception signal; orthogonal detection means for applying orthogonal detection to the reception signal to generate an I signal and a Q signal; IQ signal acquisition means for sequentially acquiring the generated I signal and Q signal in time series; and signal processing means for, based on direction change in a constant period of velocity vectors of the I signal and Q signal acquired in a prescribed time point on an IQ plane, generating a respiratory signal indicating change of respiratory of the living body as biological information.
