PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic leakage flux flaw detector that is able to efficiently magnetize a steel sheet and detect defects with a good S/N ratio when performing magnetic leakage flux flaw detection of the steel sheet.SOLUTION: A magnetic leakage flux flaw detector for detecting defects on the basis of magnetic leakage flux generated from defects existing in a steel sheet, equips magnetic sensors being separated from the steel plate by a predetermined lift-off and having a plurality of E-shaped cores arranged at a constant pitch in the width direction of the steel plate, and being integrated with a magnetizer disposed opposite the upper side of a nonmagnetic roll, which magnetizes the steel plate traveling on the nonmagnetic roll in the running direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
