PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter for transmitting digital data through a nonlinear transmission path, and also to provide a receiver, an LDPC encoder and an LDPC decoder.;SOLUTION: A transmitter 10 includes: an error correction encoding part 12 which partially includes an LDPC code of an overall LDPC average coding rate 96/120 (i.e., 4/5) relative to 64APSK based on a set division method; a mapping part 13 which is used as the optimized signal constellation of 64APSK; and a quadrature modulation part 15 which performs quadrature-modulation of a signal point sequence by a deformation set division method. In a receiver 20, modulated wave signals transmitted by the transmitter 10 are demodulated and decoding is performed by implementation of the adaptive equalization processing. An LDPC encoder and an LDPC decoder respectively have a check matrix initial value table related to one or more encoding rates of 57/120, 61/120, 63/120, 64/120, 101/120, 105/120, 113/120, 115/120, 116/120, 117/120.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
