To provide a resin containing hexaboride particles exhibiting excellent optical characteristics such that the resin has a high optical density (OD) with respect to near-infrared light at a wavelength of 800 nm to 1150 nm while maintaining a visible light transmittance and that influences on eyes even by intense near-infrared light such as laser light can be reduced, a near-infrared ray-shielding lens, near-infrared ray-shielding spectacles, a protection tool, a near-infrared ray-shielding window material, near-infrared ray-shielding fixtures and a near-infrared ray-shielding film or glass having a layer of the above resin, a dispersion liquid of hexaboride particles that can be used for the production of the resin containing hexaboride particles, and a dispersion powder of hexaboride particles.SOLUTION: The resin containing hexaboride particles contains hexaboride particles dispersed in a resin, and the resin containing hexaboride particles has a value of optical density (OD) of 2.0 or more in a near-infrared ray region at a wavelength from 800 nm to 1150 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: None
