PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing semiconductor nanoparticles that involves the production of semiconductor nanoparticles with a high hydrophilicity in an aqueous solvent and enable the semiconductor nanoparticles produced by the method to have a favorable luminance.;SOLUTION: A zinc (Zn) ion source and a ligand N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) were added into an ultrapure water. PH adjustment was done taking into account of a following step of adding tellurium (Te) ion source to obtain a precursor solution having a desirable pH (10pH11). ZnTe semiconductor nanoparticles with a favorable luminance were obtained by applying a so-called hydrothermal method including heating the precursor solution at a temperature higher than 120°C under a pressure higher than 1 atm.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
