PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a double deck elevator and its control method capable of rapidly transporting passengers to the lowest floor at a fire outbreak.;SOLUTION: The double deck elevator comprises a group management device 21 to control a plurality of double deck elevators 51, 52. The group management device 21 comprises evacuation operation means 31 to receive a signal from fire alarms 1-5 installed on each floor and to instruct the fire emergency operation. The evacuation operation means 31 delivers an upper car 14 of one double deck elevator 52 and a lower car 8 of the other double deck elevator 51 to the same floor at a fire outbreak, and moves the lower car 8 of the other double deck elevator 51 to an evacuation floor after allowing passengers of the upper car 14 of the one double deck elevator 52 to get on the lower car 8 of the other double deck elevator 51.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
