PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copyright contract management system capable of managing consent and use of a copyright, and a copyright contract management method using the copyright contract management system.;SOLUTION: There is provided a copyright contract management system 1 characterized by: holding contract data 16 including contract information that includes the names of contracting parties including a licenser and a licensee, and includes the consent number; generating tracing information 16a which is a text for identifying the contract information; and giving a notification of the tracing information to all the contracting parties. By the tracing information, "what contract the use of a matter is based on" can be detected from the matter related to the use of a copyright.
