PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for promoting the germination of Orchidaceae plants and symbiosis with the symbiotic fungi.SOLUTION: Provided are: an agent for promoting the germination of Orchidaceae plants containing a substance selected from the group consisting of gibberellin inhibitor, salicylic acid, and salicylic acid derivative; an agent for promoting the symbiosis with symbiotic fungi of Orchidaceae plants containing the above substance; a method for promoting the germination of Orchidaceae plants characterized by applying the above substance to orchidaceae plants; and a method for promoting symbiosis with symbiotic fungi of orchidaceae plants characterized by applying the above substance to orchidaceae plants.SELECTED DRAWING: None
