PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen embrittlement test solution, a hydrogen-charging method using the same and a hydrogen embrittlement test method which can achieve quick addition of hydrogen to a steel material in high concentration in comparison with a method that involves ammonium thiocyanate while achieving the addition of hydrogen by the same acceleration mechanism as that of a hydrogen embrittlement evaluation test that involves ammonium thiocyanate.SOLUTION: A hydrogen embrittlement test solution includes an acetic acid buffer solution comprising acetic acid and sodium acetate and ammonium thiocyanate, and the test solution exhibits a pH of 4.0 to 5.0 before a test, a concentration of ammonium thiocyanate of 0.1 to 1.4 mol/L, and a concentration of acetic acid of 0.06 to 0.8 mol/L in the solution. A hydrogen-charging method includes immersing a test material in the solution at a temperature of 30°C to 55°C while controlling the temperature within a range of ±2°C in relation to the preset temperature during the test to increase the concentration of hydrogen in the test material. A hydrogen embrittlement test method includes charging a test material with hydrogen by the hydrogen-charging method and evaluating the hydrogen embrittlement characteristics from the time-to-rupture and crack state of the test material.SELECTED DRAWING: None
