PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a source code conversion device which converts a target source code without a structure of nested IF statement into a converted source code with a structure of nested IF statement.;SOLUTION: The source code conversion device converts a target source code written in COBOL language into a converted source code written in COBOL language. If an IF statement satisfying a prescribed condition is included in the target source code, the source code conversion device takes the IF statement satisfying the prescribed condition as a target IF statement to convert it to a converted IF statement. The prescribed condition is satisfied when the IF statement includes only THEN specification and a GO TO statement for control transfer to a following procedure name or only a GO TO statement for control transfer to a following procedure name. In the converted IF statement, statements between the target IF statement and the procedure name are structured by THEN specification, ELSE specification and END IF specification.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
