To provide an offshore floating type facility provided with a liquefied gas storage facility with a middle-scale capacity of 40,000 mto 60,000 m, a construction method for the offshore floating type facility, a design method for the offshore floating type facility, and a renovation method for the offshore floating type facility.SOLUTION: Total length of a front cargo section R1, a rear cargo section R2, and a gas processing section R3 are formed to be 1.5-2.0 times the total length of the front cargo section R1 and the rear cargo section R2 regarding the length in the longitudinal direction of an offshore floating type facility, one tank each of cargo tanks 11 respectively formed by MOSS type low temperature liquefied gas tanks in the front cargo section R1 and the rear cargo section R2, a cargo engine room 13 is arranged in front of the front cargo section R1 or behind the rear cargo section R2, and a gas processing section R3 is arranged in front of the front cargo section R1, behind the rear cargo section R2 or on an upper deck 4 in between the front cargo section R1 or the rear cargo section R2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
