PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve estimation accuracy of oxygen saturation by suppressing effect of components other than the hemoglobin contained in a measurement subject.;SOLUTION: An oxygen saturation estimation device includes a calculation unit 141 for calculating the oxygen saturation in the blood of a measurement subject based on the irradiation intensity of irradiation light and the received light intensity of the transmitted light. The received light intensity is obtained by measuring the intensity according to a blood flow change of the measurement subject with the time passage. The calculation unit 141 calculates the total absorbance in each wavelength component based on the irradiation intensity and the received light intensity. The total absorbance is represented as a function of time comprising the sum of each term of a damping term by the oxygenation hemoglobin, a damping term by the deoxygenated hemoglobin, and a damping term by the oxygenation hemoglobin and the element other than the deoxygenated hemoglobin. The oxygenation hemoglobin and a molar concentration of the deoxygenated hemoglobin are calculated by solving simultaneous equations with n unknowns corresponding to N types of wavelengths, and thereby the oxygen saturation is calculated.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
