To provide a component information management system capable of detecting positions and attitudes of components having various shapes.SOLUTION: The component information management system of this invention comprises components to which first feature patterns having a plurality of feature points are added and reference points set in prescribed positions, to which second feature point patterns having a plurality of feature points are added. The component information management system acquires image information including a first feature point pattern and a second feature point pattern, extracts a plurality of feature points included in the image information to identify the first feature point pattern and the second feature point pattern, identifies a shape of a component on the basis of correspondence between a preliminarily registered feature point pattern and the shape of the component, identifies the position and attitude of a reference point marker on the basis of correspondence between the preliminarily registered feature point pattern and the position and attitude of the reference point marker, and identifies the position and attitude of the component on the basis of relative positional relationship between the first feature point pattern and the second feature point pattern.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
