To provide a heater, an image formation device and a heating control program capable of suppressing local thermal deformation and stopping transport of a recording medium, compared with a configuration in which, transport of the recording medium is continued in stop of the image formation processing, when a toner image on the recording medium is heated and fixed for image formation.SOLUTION: A drying unit 89 comprises: a drying roller 108 comprising therein, a heat source; and plural winding rollers 110. The drying roller 108 serves as a back surface heating roll which winds a recording medium and surface contacts the recording medium, and heats an opposite surface of an image formation surface on which the image is formed. A drive control part for controlling the drive system for transporting the recording medium heats the recording medium so that, the recording medium is gradually shrunk from a non-heated area to a heated area, before stopping the recording medium, namely, heats again a predetermined area on the heated area by transporting the recording medium to a direction opposite to the transport direction for a prescribed time, then stops the recording medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
