PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable tilting-pad journal bearing that is simply structured, easy to process, effectively cooling a bearing pad and being capable of maintaining a bearing temperature low even under high peripheral speed conditions.;SOLUTION: A tilting-pad journal bearing comprises: a plurality of pads disposed on the outer peripheral side of a rotation axis; a cylindrical housing for swingably supporting the pads; and a seal portion provided at the axial end of the housing with a gap to the rotation axis. The pads have recesses; on an inner wall part of the housing, a convex part having an oil supply hole is disposed to face the recesses; and the oil supply hole is disposed toward the recesses to supply lube oil.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2;COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
