To provide an evaluation device capable of evaluating the powdering property of each of several types of layered molding raw material powder in a short time.SOLUTION: The powdering evaluation apparatus of the present invention comprises a flat evaluation stage (12), a recoater (2) in which the layered molding raw material powder is layered on the evaluation stage, moving means (3) which parallelly moves the recoater with respect to the upper surface of the evaluation stage, measuring device (4) for measuring the powder surface which is the upper side surface of a powder layer (p) formed on the evaluation stage by the recoater, and supporting means (7) for supporting the measuring device movably on the powder surface. By using an evaluation apparatus provided separately from the layered molding apparatus, the cleaning time required when replacing the type of raw material powder can be shortened significantly, and the powdering properties of each of a plurality of types of raw material powder can be efficiently evaluated. In particular, it is preferable to use a three-dimensional laser displacement meter of the white light interference type, because the state of the powder surface of the recoated powder layer can be quantitatively evaluated three-dimensionally.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
