To provide an energy-saving hot-water tub which enables a soap component contained in a towel after washing the body to be washed off with a small amount of hot water and time, and which prevents soap residues from adhering to the surface of the hot water tub, in view of the problem in which: when a soap component is washed away, by using a hot water tub, from a towel or a sponge containing soap used for washing the body in a bathroom, rinsing is repeated many times while the hot water tub is filled with hot water, so that much hot water and time are spent.SOLUTION: In an energy-saving hot water tub, a circular bottom hole is provided at the center of the bottom part of the hot water tub. A slide-type bottom lid opening/closing plate is provided under the bottom hole. A hole having the same diameter as the bottom hole is formed in the slide-type bottom lid opening/closing plate.
